Home Made Deluxe Glass Preserving Jar, 750ml 

This traditional glass preserving jar is perfect for homemade jam, marmalade, chutney or even your own pickled onions. The preserving jar comes with a lever arm lid with a rubber sealing ring. The lid provides an airtight seal which captures the fresh flavour of your homemade produce. The clear-view glass jar is also great for storing wrapped sweets, nuts and pasta shells.
For a home made preserve, why not try a spiced orange and cherry jam. Ingredients include 4 thinly sliced oranges, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1.1L water, 4 whole allspice, 6 whole cloves, 1.8kg fresh pitted cherries, 1.3kg sugar and 120ml lemon juice. Simply put the cinnamon, all spice and whole cloves into a spice bag. Place the oranges and water in a maslin pan and add the spice bag. Bring to the boil and continue to boil until the oranges are soft. Remove the spice bag and add the cherries, lemon juice and sugar to the pan. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and boil for approximately 1 hour, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool, skim off any residue. Spoon the mixture into a clean preserving jar.
